Herzing’s NP tracks demand clinical placement early and paperwork constantly. We start the preceptor search before the term does.
FNP students in states where placement competition is fiercest.
The largest bench in the hall is nursing — MSN, DNP, FNP, PMHNP, AGACNP and RN-to-BSN. Care plans, evidence-based practice papers, clinical hours, IRB files and capstones are the work we do most days of the week, for people who are on shift while they study.
Ask your program what a deferral actually involves before assuming it is unthinkable, because the answer is usually less dramatic than the fear and it is a real option. In parallel, work the list of people already on record with you — anyone who has supervised you before, alumni of your program, association chapters — since those answer at a completely different rate from clinics.
Ask both offices for a named person and a status, in writing, every few days. Neither side is being obstructive; each simply assumes the other is dealing with it, and a document that would move in a fortnight with somebody chasing it will otherwise sit indefinitely. That chasing is unglamorous and it is the whole intervention.
Ask your clinical coordinator immediately rather than at the end, because some categories can be reallocated and some cannot, and the answer differs by program. This is discovered far too often at the point where the total comes up short and nothing can be done. Keeping your own parallel record is what makes the correction possible.
Yes, and the reverse as well. They are separate files with separate prices precisely because most students need one rather than both. Plenty of people here take only the placement administration and handle every assignment themselves, and that is a perfectly ordinary way to use the hall.
No. Your school, your clinical coordinator and your employer are never contacted, and no account of yours is accessed. Nobody here attends a rotation or signs an evaluation for a student. Records run against a client number and specialists sign confidentiality agreements before work reaches them.
