The record we open when you write in
A quote request creates a short record: a first name, an email address, the program and school you type in, the service you choose from the list, and whatever you write in the free box. A newsletter subscription is one field — an address, nothing attached to it. An affiliate application adds the program you finished here and the region you are applying from.
The free box is yours to use as you see fit. Two lines is enough to get a real answer. More detail lets a specialist quote against what the work actually is rather than against the worst case, which usually means a lower number, but nothing beyond a name and an address is ever required.
Who inside the hall can open it
The person who answers your message, and the specialist matched to your subject. That is the entire list. Specialists working other subjects have no reason to see your file and are given no route to it.
Every specialist signs a confidentiality agreement before any student work reaches them, and access to student records is logged. The reviews on this site carry initials and a program because that is the rule the hall was built on, not because we ran out of permission to print more.
What is never done with it, at any price
It is not sold, rented, traded or listed. Your university is not contacted, and neither is your faculty, your clinical coordinator or your employer — not to verify anything, not for any reason. Your name is never published.
An address given to obtain a quote is not added to The Footnote. Subscribing is a separate, deliberate act, and one press of the unsubscribe link ends it permanently rather than pausing it.
Cookies, trackers, and the absence of them
This site sets no advertising pixels, carries no third-party trackers and assembles no profile of you across other sites. There is no account, so there is no login to store and no password to lose. Ordinary web-server logs exist here as they do everywhere, and rotate out on the host's normal schedule.
Typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means a request reaches Google as it does on a large share of the web. Nothing identifying you is attached to that request by us.
How long a record is kept, and how to close it
While an engagement is open, and afterwards only for as long as the accounts require. Write to desk@citehall.com from the address on the record and it is deleted and the name struck from every list it appears on. No reason is required, and asking you for one would tell you something about how the place is run.
A person answers, not a form
Anything in this notice you want explained, and anything you want removed, goes to desk@citehall.com. Somebody reads it — usually within two hours — and replies as themselves. If what is written here does not match what you were told when you first wrote in, say so, and whichever of the two is wrong gets corrected.
